This policy explains how By Foľa (“By Foľa”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information on www.byfola.com, through By Foľa Debuts, and when you contact us. We collect as little as we can and protect what we keep.
Cookies and trackers
This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or third-party tracking tools. Our typefaces and images are served from our own server.
Visit statistics
To understand which collections interest visitors, we keep our own privacy-friendly statistics: the sections and designs viewed, the website that referred you, campaign tags in the link, device type (mobile, tablet or desktop) and browser language. Each visit is grouped under a scrambled code made from your connection details and the date. It changes every day, cannot be turned back into your IP address, and is not stored on your device. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, we record nothing. Statistics are kept for 13 months.
The By Foľa Concierge (chat)
If you use the chat, we first ask for your name and email so we know who we are speaking with. Your messages are answered by an automated assistant (provided by Anthropic) and are saved so the By Foľa team can read them and follow up. If you share your name or email in the chat, we use them only to reply to you, not for marketing, unless you also join By Foľa Debuts. Please don't share sensitive information. Conversations are kept for 2 years; you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Remembering you on this device
When you give us your name and email in the chat or join By Foľa Debuts, we save a random code in your browser. On later visits from the same device, this lets us link the sections and designs you view to your enquiry, so we can help you better. It contains no personal details. You can remove it at any time by clearing this website’s data in your browser, and we record nothing if your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal.
WhatsApp
If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) processes the message under its own privacy policy, and we use your number and message only to reply.
What this website does not do
We never sell visitor information and never use it for advertising.
By Foľa Debuts (the waitlist)
When you join By Foľa Debuts we collect:
- your first name and email address;
- the interests or designs you choose to tell us about (optional);
- a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, the date and time, and whether you confirmed your email address;
- a one-way, scrambled version of your IP address, used only to block spam and abuse. We do not store your IP address itself.
We use this to send you the Executive Presence Style Guide, emails about new designs, private previews and first access, and to understand which designs members are most interested in. We ask you to confirm your email address before we send you news (double opt-in). We rely on your express consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Unsubscribing
Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also write “Unsubscribe” to hello@byfola.com. We act on requests promptly and within the time the law requires.
When you contact us
If you email hello@byfola.com, we receive what you choose to share and use it to reply, send documents you ask for (such as the Manufacturing Partner Brief) and manage partner relationships.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the house (our web host, our email service and, if we use one, our email-marketing platform), with professional advisers under confidentiality, or where the law requires it. Our web host keeps standard server logs to keep the website secure.
How we protect it and how long we keep it
Waitlist records are stored outside the public part of our website, over encrypted connections, with access limited to By Foľa. We keep members’ details until they unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 60 days. Partner correspondence is kept for the length of the relationship and afterwards as the law requires. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent. Depending on where you live, including under Canada’s PIPEDA and anti-spam law (CASL), the EU and UK GDPR, or California’s CCPA/CPRA, you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We answer requests within 30 days.
Where information is processed
Our providers may store or process information in Canada, the United States and other countries, with reasonable safeguards.
Children
By Foľa Debuts is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Purpose of the website
The website presents the By Foľa house and designs in development, and gives information to prospective manufacturing partners. It is not a shop. Nothing on it is an offer for sale or an offer to contract, and prices, availability and dates are not guaranteed.
Ownership and permitted use
All content on the website, including designs, silhouettes, technical flats, prints, photographs, the crest, text, layout and code, belongs to By Foľa or its licensors. You may view it for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, download, scrape, modify, sell, reproduce, manufacture or distribute any of it, or use it to train or prompt artificial intelligence systems, without our prior written permission.
Trademarks
By Foľa, BY FOĽA, Maison Foľa, the By Foľa crest, the Heritage Lattice and “Executive Presence, Tailored.” are marks of By Foľa. No licence to use them is granted.
Ideas and submissions
We do not accept unsolicited design ideas. Anything you send us without a signed NDA may not be treated as confidential.
By Foľa Debuts
Joining By Foľa Debuts is free and is not an order, reservation or guarantee that a design will be produced or available. Designs, dates and quantities may change. The Executive Presence Style Guide is for your personal use and may not be resold or reproduced.
Manufacturing partners
Partner information is an invitation to talk. Any engagement is governed only by a signed mutual NDA and a written supply agreement.
The concierge
The chat on this website is answered by an assistant. It can make mistakes, and nothing it says is an offer, a promise, a price or a commitment by By Foľa. For anything important, message us on WhatsApp or email hello@byfola.com.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The website is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, By Foľa is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
